Introduced in 1959, the ES-345 was an upmarket upgrade to the popular ES-335, combining Gibson's reputation for cutting-edge innovation with classic traditional design. The thin body was easier for players to hold than conventional archtops, the inner block enhanced sustain and reduced feedback, and the revolutionary Varitone electronics added cutting edge technology: stereo electronics. Small wonder that the 345 became an instant classic, and has remained one of the worlds' most innovative electric guitars.

This 1960 Gibson ES-345 is in excellent condition and features a solid Honduras mahogany neck; maple top back and sides; solid Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, all original gold hardware, including original  P.A.F. pickups with original covers, original Bigsby tailpiece, original ABR-1 Tuneamatic bridge tophat volume and tone knobs; original beveled b/w/b/w/b pickguard with support bracket; original gold Kluson Deluxe tuners with single ring tulip pegs; original Varitone tone selector; 3-way toggle; original Gibson Stereo truss rod cover. Serial number A34014. Vintage sunburst finish. Original hardshell case included.
