This guitar was hand built by Paul Reed Smith. There is no serial number. It is one of the famous NAMM 20 prototypes that would later be called the custom 24. All the woods on this guitar are hand picked by Paul Reed Smith from his now famous stash of incredible tone woods. This guitar is headed for the archives if it is not sold. Paul wants it back so here is your chance to own it before it is off the market forever. When I first spoke to the owner of this guitar he said it was not for sale but after several arm twistings he agreed to let me post it and offer it for a limited time. Anytime I have ever asked him about the price of this guitar he has raised it. It will never be cheaper than posted. The top carve is more arched than the traditional PRS tops because it was carved by hand, There is virtually no neck heel. The neck is also hand carved and is the 1st wide thin neck ever made. It has a 1 piece Flame Maple top which is extremely rare, It is featured in the new PRS book on page 31 and 32. The tuners are the first example of the Schaller Mini Locking Tuners and have chrome levers with arrows etched on them for string release direction! They were later made in black for production making this the only guitar that has them. It has a mahogany back and neck, Chrome hardware, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, Sweet Switch, MOP dot inlay's and a Trem bridge. This is an amazing guitar and a piece of guitar building history, documented and certainly destine to be one of the most sought after guitars in the future.
