In reality, we all know nobody bats 1000% all the time but we honestly strive to and if you are a reasonable person, you will always find us trying to be fair to all parties involved. My personal outlook is "fair" goes both ways ... no one is always right, not the customer, not the merchant ... we are all people and people make mistakes. I think of it as this, we are two parties that have something the other wants ... you want my gear, I want your business and fair is in the middle ground somewhere. Our goal is to find "fair" every time so that you are happy and I am happy. We firmly believe that word of mouth is the best advertising there is and we are committed to making you happy!
You can return your purchase from The Guitar Hangar in its original condition for an exchange up to 7 Days from receipt of merchandise. It must be insured for the full value and all paperwork, hang tags original boxes etc... must be returned intact. There are no cash or credit card refunds. Special Orders, Pre orders, layaways, consignments and final sale items are non cancelable and non returnable. 24hr money back approvals can be arranged but must be done so in advance and in writing. Shipping, credit card or paypal fees and deposits for special orders or layaways are non refundable. Any shipping damage must be filed with the carrier within 24hrs of receipt of the merchandise and dealt with in accordance with their policies. All returns must be arranged in advance with the Guitar Hangar and given a return authorization number. Any return after 7 days is subject to a 25% restocking fee or may be refused depending on the situation. The Guitar Hangar is not responsible for typographical errors posted on the website.

Guitar Hangar offers 2 layaway plans if you need some time and wish to do a layaway.
1. Two Month layaway.
You can layaway anything we sell for 2 months with no penalty for non refundable 20% deposit of the purchase price. Simply pay off the purchase within 2 months and you're all set!
2. I need more time! (Extended Layaway)
Extended layaway is available for 2% of the unpaid balance per month which is then added to the purchase price. This is an automatic feature of our layaway plan. If you have a layaway purchase that has not been paid in full within 2 months it automatically goes into extended layaway mode and after the 2nd month has expired, a 2% surcharge is added per month to the unpaid balance until the layaway is paid in full. All other layaway rules apply.
Special Order merchandise, Non Stock merchandise, or merchandise that is ordered in for you is not eligible for the 2 month layaway and would go right to the extended layaway option if you can not pay in full for your merchandise when it arrives.
If for some reason you can not make a payment for 60 days, you must contact us to continue to have any instrument remain on layaway. If after 90 days in extended layaway you do not make any payment, you risk the item being made available for sale and being charged a minimum 25% restocking fee of the purchase price. We will try to reach you before this happens but if you change your phone number or e-mail address, it is your responsibility to notify us!

We have tried both UPS and Fed Ex and have found UPS to be much better. Fed Ex is a nightmare if you have any damage to your package. When you're shipping guitars that cost thousands of dollars like we do on a daily basis, it is a real problem when you have a company that will not honor a claim. Collectable guitars fall under the Fed Ex "item of extraordinary value" heading in their policy on damage claims. That means your 30,000.00 PRS Dragon is going to get you a whopping 500.00 if they damage it or loose it. This is not to say that UPS has never damaged or lost a guitar. Both companies have done that with us....the difference is UPS pays their claim. Fed Ex will let you put as much insurance on a guitar as you want and they will charge you for it. Just try to get paid if they damage your guitar. Trust me... we learned this lesson the hard way! I offer this picture as final proof that UPS is better!
