The American Standard Stratocaster changed relatively little during its existence, as Fender’s philosophy was obviously not to mess around too much with a good thing. By the time it came upon year 2000, American Standard Stratocasters were being produced in Fender’s newest Corona, California plant, with more attention to quality and detail being made than ever before. This guitar has a few small dings and dents and normal signs of use but the frets are great and it plays perfectly with a recent setup and fresh strings! There is a small area on the back of the neck where the finish came off along with the sticker that it once donned. It doesn’t effect anything and because its on the bottom of the neck you really don’t feel it. It is missing the trem arm but they are readily available. All original, “C” shaped maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, Fender single-coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge.
