This early 1960s Framus model 50/1 “Sport” parlour-size steel string acoustic was owned and played by Joe Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult fame. We got it directly from Joe. These little guitars are quite sought-after for their nice bluesy, somewhat “boxy” tone.
Laminate spruce top and arched back of flamed maple laminate, laminate maple sides. One-piece bolt-on mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Neck has 12 frets to the body, 57 cm scale length, 40 mm wide at the nut.
This guitar is all original and in very good condition with only a few very minor signs of play wear. It was just set up with new strings and sounds and plays great! The top shows some small nicks and dings and there is some finish wear along the edges.
