Giannini – GB-4 Abbey Road Beatle Bass – Used

$899.99

Condition Used Excellent

This Giannini Beatle Bass GB-4 model, is a short scale, hollow body electric bass guitar designed in the iconic violin shape made famous by Paul McCartney’s Hofner Bass. It features vintage-style electronics, dual humbuckers, and a distinctive trapeze tailpiece, often praised for its light weight, unique look, and surprisingly good sound, making it a popular alternative to the Hofner. This one is a tribute to the Beatles Abby Road album. I couldn’t find another one like it so it may have been a special one off. It has neck inlays of the 4 boys from Liverpool as they walked across the road in the iconic cover of the Abby Road Album. The 12th fret inlay is LMW 28IF which was the license plate number of the Volkswagon Beetle on the cover. Rumors were that this was a hidden message that if Paul had lived he would be 28 years old during the “Paul is dead” hysteria surrounding the album. On the back is the famous Beatles logo. The bass plays and sound great and is strung with Pyramid black tape strings just like Pauls!
