The 1976 Gibson Bicentennial Firebird was a limited edition electric guitar celebrating America’s 200th birthday in 1976, featuring a distinctive red, white, and blue eagle/firebird emblem on its pickguard, gold hardware (like the Firebird VII), and the iconic reverse body shape often in black, sunburst, or natural finishes, becoming a collectible piece combining patriotic design with classic Gibson craftsmanship. This one has had an electronics mod adding a 3rd pickup and replacing one tone pot with a switch so you can have every option available for the 3rd pickup. Also the strap pin was moved to help with the neck dive that all firebirds have. Other than that she’s 100% with no repairs, plays and sounds fantastic! Ships in the original hardshell case. This is a 50 year old guitar in fantastic shape for its age but please check the pics carefully and consider them part of the description.
