While only labeled as “Les Paul Bass” in catalogs and shipment records, this instrument is colloquially referred to as the “Les Paul Recording Bass” due to its similarity to the Les Paul Recording Guitar of the time. It was soon replaced by the Les Paul Triumph Bass, offering a lightweight body, increased tone options, and a natural mahogany finish. This particular bass is from the first year run and is in very good condition and ships in the original case! The frets are in excellent condition and the electronics are undisturbed. There are signs of use that you would expect from 56 year old instrument so please look at the pictures carefully and consider them part of the description.
